Very few , if any, "off the shelf" software applications will meet all of your requirements for your business.

We offer complete customized solutions to suit YOUR specific needs.  Top

Will I be able to have my data available on my web or Intranet site?

Yes. Access and SQL Server databases work very well on the Internet/Intranet, using ASP, ASP.Net or Web Services.  Top

I heard that Microsoft is phasing out Access. Is this true?

No! This is a completely false rumor. It originated because Microsoft DID announce a few years ago that it would do no further development on the default Access database engine, known as "Jet", in favor of its "Lite" version of SQL Server, known as "MSDE".

However, Access is in integral part of Microsoft Office, and "Jet" is still the default engine used in the program. In addition, Access databases can also use "ADO", and Microsoft provides an updated OLE DB engine for Access (for use on the web, as an example).

The newest version of Access, now in development ("Access 12") is garnering more attention than ever at Microsoft. The Access development team is now larger than ever, and work is proceeding on a NEW database engine, that will be backward compatible with DAO (the programming interface for Jet).   Top
